So I have been really doing a lot of thinking about the Kids ministry lately I really want to work with kids for the rest of my life. I hope this is where God wants me to be. I’ve been thinking so much about it and I would hate to be going somewhere God doesn’t want me to be. I’ve been thinking so much it has been keeping me up at night. I can’t sleep any more it just breaks my heart to think about all these kids who don’t know anything I knew as I was growing up. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have gone to a Christian school and to go to church. I just don’t want someone to grow up not knowing the love of Christ or someone else in their life. I just want so badly for everyone to know that they are loved in some way or form! I don’t even know where to begin I know what I want to do but I don’t know where to start I need help with this. There are so many things I need to get organized and I need to get figured out before I can be where I need to be with this. I think I have a good start? I don’t know haha ANYONE have any suggestions on how to properly run a kid’s ministry without having a clue as to how to relate to 2 or 3 year olds? I would love some ideas on how to do this haha.

I love this post, I love how Christ is working in you! First start looking for lots of blogs from other kids church ministers and check out other churches on the web for things they are doing. I found one the other night but didn’t “bookmark” it, I’ll try to find it again for you!

Love God, Love kids. Thats it. If a person is passionate about God and the area they are serving (kids), the rest will take care of itself. Or, the passion inside you will find a way to figure out what needs to be figured out. There are so many people out there with all of the smarts, wisdom, knowledge or whatever that are failing at what they are doing. Without passion nothing will work. With passion anything will work.

    You are awesome btw

Danielle, this is awesome! I am here for you and will support whatever you think is best for these kids. You are such an awesome person and you clearly make a great leader because your heart is so big for the children.

Having children in our church, it makes me really happy to know our ministry leaders are so passionate to where God is leading them. I agree it is not about “knowledge” …it’s your passion and of course lots of love. Like I told you I will help you sort some things out and organize whatever you need. Looking forward to see what God will do through you. xo

Danielle, I just wanted to stop by and say that I agree with what the others have said. Having a 3 year old right now, I can honestly attest they can sense that passion and love that people have for teaching them, and that matters so much more than getting it perfect. That love that they can feel from you is what helps teach them the love of Christ. I think it’s awesome that you know what God is calling you to at the age of 21…wish I’d had my act together way back then!!!!
