Friday.
Well today was my last day at Dunkin before I start my new job. I am so nervous about the new job but like I was telling Rachel yesterday. No matter what happens I know God’s got my back
So I am pretty excited about what is going to happen. Just keep me in your prayers as I go into a new job.
Tuesday.
So I probably did one of the hardest things the other day. I told one of my friends we needed to stop hanging out so much so I can focus more on God and my walk with Him. I never would have imagined myself saying this in a million years, but God has been molding me and I feel that He deserves so much more of my attention after all He is my best friend. God needs to come first and foremost and then comes family then friends. This is the way we were designed and I know that one day this choice will benefit me and what is going to happen in the long run. I am so excited to see what God is going to do. I never saw myself being so INLOVE with MY GOD!
Friday.
So today was an okay day. It snowed and snow is awesome. I was on break today and I was talking to my friend on the phone and I heard something that I did not expect. needless to say it hurt my feelings and made me question myself and whether or not I am good enough. As I was thinking this my friend said don’t worry about what others think about you. God is definitely working in you and I can tell you love Jesus and are trying to live for Him. That made me smile and rethink things again. Yes, I am not perfect, but I am a sinner saved by grace and I only need to impress one person and that is God. I will never be good enough in the eyes world for anyone, but I know Jesus thinks I am worth it because He died and rose again for me and for you! just think about that when you think you have sinned too much or that you are not good enough. Just know Jesus did die for you and if you were worthless or not good enough then He would have done it for nothing.
Thursday.
So yesterday was amazing in so many different ways! First off it was bad because my friend Ray had a friend who was in a terrible car accident (Emily). She had a collapsed lung and a bleeding heart. Later on in the day she went into a coma. This is nothing short of a miracle. They gave her a higher percentage of living than dying so they were looking at the good side of things. I didn’t know what to do other than to pray. I wanted to see the power of prayer work through this. I prayed so hard and asked our small group to pray as well. I knew God would know what to do. After all He is the Ultimate healer. We started off small groups with praying over her and after the lesson my group prayed over her again. I called Ray and asked how Emily was doing and she was out of the coma and walking around. They said she could go home in a couple of days! Our God is and AWESOME God! Everyone was shouting and praising God for healing her!
John 20
Key Verse: John 20:20, “After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.”
Reflections: I really like this verse because I can’t help but think this is how it will be when we see Him. I feel that we will be OVERJOYED and excited. I can not wait til I see my Saviour. I can not wait to be overjoyed when I see Him face to face. I am pretty jealous of everyone who had the opportunity to see Him. I know that I will see Him one day though.
Prayer: Lord. I pray that we will be overjoyed when we see you. I pray that everyone will be able to have the opportunity to be overjoyed over you. Amen.
John 19
Key Verse: John 19
Reflections: I can not choose one verse because this is the passage where Jesus is crucified. This is where He dies for us and I can not simply say that one part of it is greater than the other. It is where my Saviour gave His life for me. I say that everyone who reads this should go and read John 19 and experience everything Jesus went through for you.
Prayer: Lord, you are master over everything yet you gave your life for us so we may live. I praise you for being so merciful to a world so unworthy of your love. I praise you for your love. The love you gave to us in dying so we may have a chance. I praise you Lord for dying for an unforgiving world. Amen.
John 17
Key Verse: John 17:15, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.”
Reflections: I like this verse. Because it shows that Jesus cared so much for the disciples. He wanted them to be protected from the devil and wanted them to be safe. He was also not going to be selfish and take them with Him because Jesus is not selfish He is perfect. If it was me I would be like Hey guys you are coming with me! I just have a feeling after we become His He has this same prayer for us that He wants us to be protected, but not to be taken away because our work is not done here. Lord protect us!
Prayer: Lord I pray that we will have the same blessings that you want us to be protected because we are yours. Protect your children. I love you Lord.
Amen.
John 16
Key Verse: John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Reflections:Wow, that is pretty straight forward. No matter what goes on during this life time we will always have trouble, heartache, and pain. Jesus wants us to find peace within Him and to realize He has overcome all of this so that way we can have a better life after death. He died for us so we wont have to have trouble or pain. All of that Jesus has over come. Done and over with. He has over come the world.
Prayer: I pray we will be encouraged by this. I pray that we will not get discouraged on bad days that we will remember this life is only temporary. Jesus paid it all and all to Him I owe. Jesus just keep us encouraged on bad days and thank you for dying for us so we may live through your death. Amen.
John 15
Key Verse: John 15:4, “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
Reflections: We must remain in God or else we will go no where. We can not say hey God I got this one I don’t need help. We can not do anything without God. Only God can melt the heart of stone and change people’s hearts. We can do nothing. Our words will just bounce off of them without the hand of God in it. Same as a fruit, the fruit can not depart from the vine and say I am going to grow on my own. The fruit will die and become nothing, but if the fruit remains on the vine it will become healthy and grow to its potential. The fruit needs to stay on the vine to be healthy so it too can make more fruit. Which is why we need to stay closely connected to God so we too can stay healthy in His Word and can produce healthy fruit.
Prayer: I pray that I will not think I can do it on my own again. I pray that you will stay with me. I pray that everyone will see they can do nothing without you and that they need you in order to produce anything that is of your will Lord. Amen.
John 14
Before I begin. I opened up John 14 and read the first verse and knew that I was meant to read it today. I feel that everyone who reads it today will feel the same way. It goes perfectly with what is going on and what transformations that are about to happen. God knew everything that was going to happen.
Key Verse: John 14:1, “‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me.’”
Reflections: Jesus is talking to the disciples and is telling them not to be afraid. No matter what is going to happen do not be afraid. Trust in God and trust also in Him that everything has a purpose and it will all work out in the end. He has everything under control. This makes me think about all those times I was worrying and not trusting God in everything. I was afraid about what was going to happen what will happen to me. I am not going to be afraid about certain things that are coming up. God has my back. He knows everything that is going to happen and He will provide. Just TRUST Him. Trust the one person who knows everything that was, that is, and that is to come. He knows everything. He made the world, He made you, and He made me. He is capable of things we can not even fathom. Just trust Him with this. He knows what He is doing.
Prayer: Lord I pray you just let us trust you with everything that we are and everything that we want to do. You can do anything and if we allow you to use us we can do anything with you. I pray that you just work in ways you have never worked before and just set people’s minds at ease and I pray you just take everything into your hands and make yourself known through us. Amen.
